Here we go again!
Well, we’re off to or in Jordan depending when I’m posting this. Atlanta to Paris to Amman and then this:
To be honest, I didn’t know anything about Jordan but Rebecca has always wanted to see Petra and so it’s been in our minds for a few years. We were always waiting to try and go in the cool months but airfares were strangely affordable this summer so we’re headed to the desert during the high summer. Why not?
In the 8 days we’re there we will see – Amman, Jerash, Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea. Meanwhile we will be driving some 600 miles, half of it on the Kings Highway. Our accomodations run the gamut from an airbnb to one of the nicest resorts I’ve ever seen to a night in a bedouin tent in the middle of the desert where we will have a sunset camel ride before eating a meal cooked in the sand. I’ve always been mistaken for a young Peter O’Toole so it ought to be a cinch!
Anyway, this is a different kind of trip for us and a real adventure as we don’t exactly know what to expect. But we’re pretty sure we’ll inshalla. Keep your fingers crossed!
